There were 1,697 students enrolled in Indian Valley Local Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.3% less than the previous year, according to the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.1% of them were girls, and 49.9% were boys.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 97.2% of the Indian Valley Local Schools total enrollment.

Indian Valley Local Schools roughly covers four schools within Tuscarawas County and has a main office in Gnadenhutten.

Among the four schools in Indian Valley Local Schools, Indian Valley High School recorded the highest enrollment of 460 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In 2022, Ohio saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is an improvement for the state and is lower than the national average of 1:16.

Despite the apparent improvement, this positive trend is overshadowed by a general decline in public school enrollments, which was accelerated by the pandemic. This decline, aligned with the steady number of teachers in the state over the last 10 years, has led to low student-to-teacher ratios.
