On Wednesday, June 8 at 1 PM, the Library will welcome children’s picture book illustrator and Girard High School class of 2002 alumnus Allyson Wilson. Wilson is the illustrator of the recently released Luna Muna: Outer Space Adventures of a Kid Astronaut by Kelli Gerardi. In the book, a little girl who loves outer space wishes on a shooting star and then discovers a secret power: when she wears her sparkly space helmet, she can float like an astronaut. Mrs. Wilson will read the book aloud, discuss her illustrations, and show children how to do art of their own. She will also be signing and selling copies of Luna Muna.
