Ohio Department of Health Seasonal Influenza Activity SummaryMMWR Week 7: February 12, 2023 through February 18, 2023
During MMWR Week 7, public health surveillance datasources indicate minimal intensity for influenza-like illness(ILI) in outpatient settings. The percentage of emergency department visits with patients exhibiting constitutional symptoms and Fever/ILI specified ED visits are below baseline levels statewide. Reported cases of influenza-associated hospitalizations decreased statewide. There were 55 influenza-associated hospitalizations reported during MMWR Week 7.
Tuscarawas County is reporting 93 total influenza-associated hospitalizations among county residents for the 2022-2023 influenza season. This is an increase of 0 hospitalizations since the Ohio Department of Health's last report which was released on 2/17/23 (compared to 0 hospitalizations during the previous week).
