Senator Landis honors Kent State Tuscarawas for national volleyball championship win

State Senator Al Landis of Dover has recognized the Kent State University at Tuscarawas women’s volleyball team in the Ohio Senate. The team recently secured their first-ever USCAA Division II National Championship.

Senator Landis expressed his pride, stating, “I am proud to have the Kent State Tuscarawas volleyball team recognized by the Ohio Senate. This is a truly remarkable group of athletes who have brought an incredible accomplishment to Tuscarawas County, and I look forward to watching their continued success both on and off the court.”

The team's coaching staff, led by Head Coach Cortney Goodwin and Assistant Coach Steve Colpus, received accolades as well, being named the Coaching Staff of the Year in USCAA Division II. Freshman Mackenzie Neininger earned recognition as the Championship MVP.

Kent State University at Tuscarawas is part of Kent State University and participates in athletics under the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
