State Senator Al Landis | The Ohio Senate
State Senator Al Landis recently honored Hunter Armstrong for his impressive performance at the 2024 Summer Olympics held in Paris. Armstrong, who hails from Tuscarawas County, represented the United States and secured a gold medal in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay and a silver medal in the 4x100m Medley Relay. He also achieved a ninth-place finish in the 100m backstroke.
Senator Landis expressed pride in Armstrong's accomplishments, stating, "Tuscarawas County is immensely proud of Hunter’s achievements. He is an exceptional athlete, and his gold and silver medals are an inspiration to the next generation of athletes in Dover, our state, and our nation. I’m honored to celebrate his achievements and look forward to celebrating even more of his accomplishments in the future."
Armstrong graduated from Dover High School in 2019 and was a swimmer for The Ohio State University.
