**Eligible Persons Are Encouraged to Get Their COVID-19 Booster Dose Soon (Only about 32% of Tusc County Residents 65 and Older Have Received the Booster)**
We encourage those who are eligible (adults who have not had a booster dose since early September 2022 are eligible and ask us about eligibility for youth) to get the COVID-19 updated booster at their soonest opportunity. Those who are 65 and older – as well as those who are immunocompromised or have certain chronic conditions -- are at greater risk for serious illness if they have not received the updated booster. The vaccine is still the most effective tool at fighting this Pandemic (see Vaccine Breakthrough data from the Ohio Department of Health as of 3/2/23 below).
Our TCHD medical appointment phone lines are open from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Wednesdays, 8 am to 6 pm on Thursdays, and 8 am to 1 pm on Fridays. Appointments can be made by calling (330) 343-5555 ext. 1740 or 1810. Eligible persons may also check with local pharmacies for availability.
