In this six-week course, (on Wednesdays, February 8th- March 15th, 6:30 - 8:00 pm EST) participants will learn the fundamentals of trauma, mindfulness, and resilience in a supportive, fun environment. The instructors will integrate simple practices into each session, ensuring that participants are immediately able to apply what they learned in their daily lives. Topics covered in the series include (but are not limited to): the brain/body connection influencing our behaviors, how to recognize and respond to nervous system regulation and dysregulation, how and why to befriend our emotions, and understanding what people’s behaviors are saying about their needs and how to respond in a supportive way.
This course is for everyone, regardless of whether you know nothing about trauma-sensitive mindfulness or consider yourself an expert! In addition to providing information and practices, the course will also be structured for participants to build community and leave our time together with new, supportive relationships.
If a participant needs to miss a session, they will be directed to the online recording.
