TuscBDD Recognizes Retiring Board Member, Stephanie Wilson
Mrs. Wilson began her collaboration with the Board on a grant to educate first responders, mental health workers, and educators. “Around 2006, I recognized a need for education and collaboration for individuals served by both the mental health board and the board of DD,” shared Mrs. Wilson. “The goal of the grant was to learn about each system and how to work collaboratively to better serve individuals in crisis.” She then served on the TuscBDD Human Rights Committee for several years before she was appointed by the Tuscarawas County Commissioners in 2011 to serve as a TuscBDD Board member. Additionally, Mrs. Wilson currently serves on the Ohio Association of County Boards of Developmental Disabilities (OACB) Board of Trustees, representing Tuscarawas County at the state level.
