[Link] Congrats to our latest Master Builders. Help us to celebrate the Starlight School students and staff members that are: Going above and beyond with providing detailed sensory data, playing with new friends, and taking turns.
Throughout the year, Starlight School designates staff and students as Lego Master Builders. A Master Builder is an individualized recognition awarded to a student or staff member who went above and beyond by demonstrating an outstanding accomplishment unique from their daily behavior. The PBIS program helps all students and staff develop skills and define and reach their goals.Master Builders receive an award to display at school and a visit from Lego Man (PBIS mascot). Lego Man awards the individual with a PBIS personalized lanyard name badge. Recipients can display their accomplishments by wearing their lanyards at PBIS events, pep rallies, and PBIS store days.Once a Master Builder earns a lanyard, they are eligible to earn specialty charms to attach to their lanyard badges. Each charm encourages the person to have pride in their accomplishments while also promoting positive behavior. They can earn specialty charms in the following areas: nurse, speech, secretary, occupational therapy, and behavior support. These specialists will be able to award charms to the Master Builder if they are observed going above and beyond.You can learn more about PBIS by visiting www.pbis.org
