City of Uhrichsville issued the following announcement on February 24.

for speaking up for our community. Our office has had several inquiries as to why this decision was made. We explain that it is out of our hands, however, we do know that Rita McPeak has done everything possible to keep this treasured business in the city. Everyone comments on the atmosphere and character of the store. It’s a shame to see it go. Thank you Rita for caring about your hometown. You’re a treasure to our community.
